Greetings friends! You are invited to celebrate my 30th birthday with me over a day-long party or a whole weekend if you choose to stay the night. Think wintery warmth. A feast in a marquee in the middle of the foresty surroundings of Kent’s majesty. A country band to hoot and dance with. A bonfire to sit by and sing songs and tell stories. And if you’re staying the night, a spooky movie projected into the inky black night.

Booze: Bring your own, bring plenty.

What to wear: Layer-up, it’s November! Dinner and dancing will be in the heated marquee and the bonfire will be roaring just outside, but bring plenty of warm stuff anyhow. Bring boots and a coat in case it rains or gets a little muddy. Heels probs not ideal.

Travelling by car: This is definitely advisable! Please drive if you can - and please share spaces so those who need a lift can get one! Trains can be hit-and-miss, so cars are ideal!

Travelling by train: Trains from Charing Cross to Marden (usually go via Waterloo East and London Bridge) - on Saturdays they leave Charing X at 10 minutes and 40 minutes past the hour

On Saturday, trains From Marden to Charing X leave Marden at 23 and 54 minutes past the hour - the last one leaves Marden at 23:24

On Sunday - trains from Marden: 6:49 7:19 7:49 8:19 8:52 9:19 9:52 10:22 10:52 then 22 and 52 minutes past the hour

It is certainly advisable to check this nearer the time as winter, weekend trains are sometimes cancelled due to weather and work on the line!

Sunday 1 December: If you stay the night either on the site or nearby, you’re invited to join us for breakfast on the Sunday morning.

It is advisable to prebook a cab but Express are often quite short term but not like in London!

Camping: Go you, camping in November, awesome! Free on the grounds. Arrive early enough to pitch in daylight. Bring all you need. There are loos and running water on the site.
